Feng Shui For Bedrooms

Sleeping under beams

An overhead beam can create a cutting energy, likely causing physical problems in the person’s
body below where the beam is positioned. To alleviate the problem, sleep in a canopy bed or
cover the beam with an opaque cloth.

Mirrors in the bedroom

A mirror in a bedroom reflecting the bed creates problems for a single person. This person will be
less likely to attract a romantic partner as the mirror doubles the solitude. For a couple, a mirror
reflecting the bed is more likely to cause a third person to enter their lives, or it may cause
addiction to food or alcohol for one of the people. This situation can also lead to depression,
stress, and various health-related issues. In all of these cases, cover the mirror at night to prevent
this double energy working on your other-than-conscious. When you are awake during the
daytime, the mirror can be uncovered.

Headboards next to bathroom walls

Do not sleep with your headboard at a wall connecting with the bathroom, especially if the
sink, toilet, bathtub, or shower is just behind you. All this flushing energy is more likely to
create problems with your health and passion. Concentration problems can also occur,
especially for children and students. The worst case is when there is a toilet just behind the wall
where you are sleeping. If it is possible, change your bed direction so you have another wall
against your headboard. If that is not possible, place a mirror behind your bed at the level of
your head, with the reflective side toward the wall. This reflects the flushing energy away from
you instead of on you.

Electromagnetic fields

Some people can have significant problems with an electric alarm clock next to their head.
Children and students should be especially aware of this. The electromagnetic field from the
clock can disturb a person’s energy as the clock’s fire energy creates active energy at a time
when they need to sleep. Place an electric alarm clock at least 5 feet away from a bed or as far
as possible

Water and water images

Water creates an energy field of emotion. When people have water in their bedroom, it attracts
problems in their relationship like lack of passion because it cools down the fire. Water also
leads to lack of concentration in students and emotional problems for children. Water fountains
and images of water should be removed and placed in areas of the home where there is more

activity. The same goes for an aquarium in a child’s room. If they want to keep it in their room,
make sure it is covered at night so it has less impact

Images above the bed

What hangs above your headboard needs to connect with what you want to dream about at
night or with what you would like in your life. If you are single, do not hang a picture of a
single person but instead hang an image of a tender couple. Do not hang depressing images or
aggressive, chaotic images, because this is not what you wish to have in your life. What hangs
above you influences you each night for hours as you sleep—when you have no defense against
it. Do not hang images of nature that are too overpowering, like an image of a big rock. If it
were there, you would be crushed. Do not hang images of fierce animals above a bed like
dinosaurs, lions, and tigers, which you can imagine could crush or devour you. The same goes
for large animals, like a horse running over you at night. While these images are not real, their
energy is represented, which may lead you to feel that you’re being run over by people in your
life or crushed by society.

Place the bed in the best position

Your first priority is to sleep with your head toward one of your four personal best directions.
Your second priority is to be out of the direct flow from the door. Third is to see the incoming
flow of energy when someone enters your bedroom. If possible, do not place your headboard
along the same wall as your incoming door. You will miss new opportunities in your career or
that great partner you want to meet, because you do not see the energy at night coming to you.
If you cannot change your bed to another wall, place a small mirror opposite the door so that
when you open your eyes you can see the doorway in the mirror.

Living plants

The energy of living plants is too active for the bedroom. If you want to have more energy
yourself the next day, use only silk plants in the bedroom. Place these in the East, Southeast, or
South of your bedroom.

Moonlight on your head

Cover your windows so that moonlight does not shine on you directly, because this can create
sleep problems and stress-related situations.

Bathroom entry

Make sure there is a door between your bedroom and bathroom, because you do not want the
flushing and draining energy of the bathroom to influence the bedroom. If you do not have a
door, hang beads or a curtain or place a screen there. Make sure your toilet seat lid is always
left down to prevent that kind of energy from hanging in the air.
